Storytelling Instructor – Komla

rptoz

I am a Senior Lecturer in American Studies and research the literature of Black Africa and the Diaspora, with a focus on racial studies. I am a teacher-researcher at the University of Lomé in Togo and am very interested in (West) African culture. I love fiction and am the author of a novel and many articles that deal primarily with racial issues. My research greatly values postcolonialism. Furthermore, I believe that the idea of a multiple consciousness is necessary for intellectuals of African origin, as well as for all those who are interested in racial questions and are currently working on its theorization. I publish a lot more in English but I speak and write French with ease. My mother tongue is Ewe.
