Aristedes Narh Hargoe is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Dance Studies, School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, Legon and the Ag, Artistic Director of Ghana Dance Ensemble, Institute of African Studies University of Ghana. He holds a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from the University of Cape Coast, a Master of Fine Arts (MFA), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees from the University of Ghana. His research interest lies within the domain of Dance Aesthetics, Performance Studies and Semiotics. He is also interested in Dance Therapy and Dance Ethnography.

I will teach you these set of dances, Kpanlogo, Gota, Gahu, and Kpatsa, are recreational dances performed traditionally during moonlit nights. Currently, any of these dances can be performed on any joyous occasion to fit into its original contexts. Kpanlogo and Kpatsa are performed indigenously by the Ga-Dangme speaking people of Ghana and Gota and Gahu by the Ewe speaking people of Ghana. Any of these dances will be taught for between 45 min to an hour.
