African Artiste – Kwame

Obiri Tete is a Ghanaian/Nigerian storyteller. His literary and performing abilities engage audiences across the boards of rap, singing, poetry, acting for stage and screen and writing for same. Born Nana Kwame Obiri-Tete, this young and vibrant artiste finds his strength in telling stories and always has a rhetoric for his listener.

With incredible guitar skills, he combines emotions, soul and powerful lyricism to achieve his great feats. He officially launched his Obiri Tete movement in the year 2020 after going through an educational phase which he says “made better” his craft and sharpened his skills. With educational backing to his talents, he can only prove to be an incredible act if not the best of his time.

He is heavily influenced by the truths and fearlessness of Fela Kuti, the poetry of Nina Simone, the blues of Nat King Cole and the soul of Amy Winehouse. With songs like “Hell is For The Rich, Preacher Man, Rather Fall Asleep, Make I cry or Die?, Life be Beans, Bebiaa beye Fine, Shepreneur, Ugly” and an incredible archive of great musical collection, this artiste can surely be said to be on his way to great success.

Specializing in the area of Theatre for Development, he doubles as a consultant for developmental projects using his craft and art to reach the masses to gain results for his partners.
